WorkSafeBC Injury Treatment & Return-to-Work Care
We welcome and accept patients who have sustained injuries at work. If you are injured at work and have sustained injuries whether it is small or serious, you need to report the injuries to WorkSafeBC as all the workplaces are insured by WorkSafeBC for employees. Once you receive the claim number, please contact our clinic as soon as possible for initial assessment. Once we write the initial assessment report and send it to WorkSafeBC, the case manager of your claim will be in contact and would be able to approve the claim after their investigation. WorkSafeBC would approve the claims for first 6 weeks up to 15 treatments once accepted and patient is expected to return to light duties or gradual return to full duties within 6 weeks to have successful transition towards discharge. It is also mandatory to demonstrate and put efforts to return to light duties or gradual return to full duties by employee and employer whenever and earliest possible.
Communication with case manager, healthcare provider i.e. physical therapist, massage therapist, family physician is very essential to have successful approval of WorkSafeBC claim.
